Hellberg utilizes the Bluetooth technology in our hearing protectors to enable you to make phone calls and stream music while carrying on with your work. There is no need to remove your hearing protector to answer a phone call, or to crank up the stereo to hear the music through the noise.
What Is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth technology uses short-range radio to link two devices together. This eliminates the use of cables to connect various portable electronic devices such as headphones.
In a conceptual form, the technology was first conceived in the late 1980s as a way of creating wireless headphones. A few years later, in 1994, it was realized as an actualized technology by a team at the company Ericsson.
The word Bluetooth comes from the epithet of the tenth-century Danish king Harald “Bluetooth” Gormsson, who united the Danish tribes into a single Kingdom. Just like he united tribes, Bluetooth technology was designed to unite otherwise disparate wireless devices.
